New Routes for Old

Work has begun on upgrading the Union Canal towpath west of Harrison Park. Good news – no more puddles. Bad news – potential for inconsiderate cyclists to go too fast. A few years ago children from nearby Craiglockhart Primary School handed out ‘speeding tickets’. Most cyclists stopped to talk, a few didn’t.

Upgrading work is also in progress on part of the cycle path by the A8 and a useful path route from the Jewel to Newcraighall.
