Test Your Tyres

Posted by chdot on September 20, 2007

It’s amazing the number of people who cycle around with tyres that are too soft. Makes cycling much harder, wears tyres out faster and it’s more likely that you’ll get punctures.

As part of this year’s European Mobility Week there’s a promotional campaign involving TryCycling in Edinburgh, The AA and a couple of supermarkets.

The idea is to encourage people to check bike and car tyres – if the latter are too soft it’s illegal (and dangerous).

This afternoon you can have your bike tyres checked at Davidson’s Mains Primary School (3.15 – 6pm) and tomorrow – your car – at TESCO Corstorphine Branch (car park) 11 – 6pm or Saturday at SAINSBURY’S Cameron Toll Branch (car park) 11 – 6pm.
