Flying Scotsman Sells Out

Posted by chdot on July 15, 2006

Troubled film about troubled cyclist Graeme Obree is to open the world famous Edinburgh International Film Festival. Only two days after the programme was announced all tickets had been sold. FILM DETAILS.

The story of Graeme and his world beating home made bike and his terrible treatment by the traditional International cycling establishment is well known. The moving BBC documentary was shown recently at Edinburgh’s Bicycle Film Festival.

The new film stars Jonny Lee Miller, Brian Cox and Billy Boyd, and seems certain to be a critical success and should find its way into more cinemas in the Autumn. There were many dramas involved in funding the film and then the production company went into administration. Fortunately it was realised that the film would only be an asset if it was finished!
