Bikes ‘Terrorist Threat’ (Again)

Posted by chdot on July 26, 2006

Seems over-reaction has reached Exeter station.

“Security Threat” was the excuse, some years ago, when bike racks were removed from the convenient covered space on platform 1 at Haymarket Station and put in the less secure (from a theft point of view) car park. It would be disastrous if a similar view is taken at Waverley where significant numbers of commuters now get to and from the station by bike.

Meanwhile in London “Arsenal FC told bikes are not a bomb risk”.
