Earlier this year the Venchie childrens’ project in Craigmillar received money from the Council’s East Local Development Committee to run a Bike Club for P6/7 children.

The successful bid was put together with the help of TryCycling in Edinburgh as part of the Craigmillar Cycles scheme.

Now some Venchie staff, volunteers and friends have decided to do a bit of cycling of their own! Project Worker Billy Douglas (yellow vest) says they have used the Innocent Cycle Path to get to St. Leonard’s and Musselburgh. They go out every Thursday and as he says “it’s a good way to socialise and teambuild”.
