What About Cycling?

Posted by chdot on May 10, 2007

The new poster for the British Heart Foundation’s 30 a day campaign highlights a range of activities that people may (or may not) be able to manage for half an hour each day.

The BHF web site has plenty of other useful suggestions including housework! It might be assumed that the list requires ‘no equipment’, but one suggestion is diving (not just from the side of a pool). The site does mention cycling – including a previous Lifecycle campaign and also the London to Brighton Bike Ride 2007 which raises money for the BHF.

So the omission of cycling in the latest high profile campaign seems strange, and a missed opportunity to further promote a form of exercise that could be accessible to most people.
