Cycling Scotland Annual Conference – Last Chance to Book
Posted by chdot on November 7, 2007
This year’s event is in Glasgow. Don’t worry, there are trains every 15 minutes and they take bikes! (“There will be facilities for locking up your bike at the conference venue.”)
“A conference examining the huge benefits to health, transport integration, climate change and the economy that dedicated and effective cycling promotion can bring.”
Next Tuesday (13th) at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (very close to Queen Street Station) 9.30 – 4.30.

wish we had conferences like this in our state
the longer I am in the bike scene in Calif, the more I realise that
the agencies like Safe Routes to School and Marin County Bicycle Coalition
exist to REMAIN A BUREAUCRACY and fund themselves. Jobs for the grant-writers and higher ups go on cool political junkets….and some trickles down to the lowly coaches, helpes.
Ah, I wish I could be in Glasgow Wednesday week.
Take good notes. JP

£140 per person for central government and £80 for voluntary organisations? That’s why I shan’t be attending, much as I would like to.
CH – I trust you’ll be there?
