It’s Not Just Edinburgh

There are problems with cycle facilities in Manchester too!!
One thing local campaigners are doing there is organising ‘critical commutes‘ on the last Friday of each month. There are currently four starting points.
“It is an ideal way to meet other cyclists and, if you are not already a regular cycle commuter, try it out in the safety of a group. All the rides finish in Albert Square at approximately 8:30 am, after which we often go for coffee.”
Perhaps someone (or a few people) could organise the same here. All it needs is a date – say March 28th, a time – round about 8 a.m.?, a destination – Foot of The Mound? and a few starting points –
- Big W car park at Brunstane? (trip up the Innocent),
- The pavement by the clock at Morningside? (side streets of the Grange then Middle Meadow Walk),
- Ocean Terminal? (experience the North Edinburgh Path Network),
- The Gyle? (H2EP route)
- Davidson’s Mains Tesco (a different part of the North Edinburgh Path Network)
Any takers? Or better suggestions? Comment below.
